Link Round-Up: Beauty

It’s in the eye of the beholder, apparently:

  • FHM’s
    top 100 women     (no nudity, but wall-to-wall scantily-cladness…unsafe
    for church socials and boarding schools). There’s a certain British bias (it’s
    a British magazine). I object to several choices (Ms. Jovovich only at #100?
    Ms. Kidman only at #85? And what is Avril Lavigne doing on this list at all?),
    but the most egregious are Britney Spears at #3 and Jennifer Love Hewitt at
    #7. If anybody has seen Ms. Hewitt’s career, could you please email her at

  • Crazy, strangely
    attractive creatures    .

OK, there is something wrong with a list of top 100 beautiful women that includes the Olsen twins. Not that they aren’t beautiful, but I can’t get that damned image of Full House out of my head when I’m looking at them, which then makes me feel dirty, which then makes me feel guilty, and then I’m into a shame spiral that I can’t get out of. Oh God it’s starting again!!!!
