Link Round-Up: Web Crack
Today, games and simple distractions to waste your valuable time at work.
- From Janine,
a Swiss game of drunkenness. - Bend
it like a low-res version of Beckham. Has irritating music, and Becks
goes for goal from some pretty unlikely positions. I got 14761 points. - This
game has been around for a long time, but I hadn’t tried it until recently.
It’s hilarious, and particularly resonant for anyone (I’m not naming any names)
who wiled away (is that the correct use and spelling of ‘wile’? I couldn’t decide) their early adolescence playing Dungeons and Dragons in their
basement. You’ve got to love any online game whose latest news item is "The
burrito bug from yesterday has been fixed — thanks to everybody who reported
it." - An exceptionally clever
and fun way to create metadata for images on the Web. - The simplest online
marketplace in the world. I think. - Check out the Greenpeace ad on this
page. Very funny, and utterly British. - Help pick the
best colour combination. Ever.
Bonus links that I need to get rid of: knit your
own licorice panties (thanks, SWT)
and the cheerleader who put
"I" in "team". You can view other link round-ups here.
UPDATE: Boing Boing points to this wonderful short film starring a Lego Spiderman. It’s part Indiana Jones, part Tom and Jerry, all in tiny little bricks.
