Quick Plug: HTCE Brain Gain

The High-Tech Communications’ Exchange (apostrophe is theirs…come on, people) is running an event called Brain Gain tonight, which features a series of short talks about ‘marketing outrageously’ (which sounds a little too Carson Kressley for my liking). I’ll be one of the speakers. In ten minutes, I’m going to attempt to explain what RSS is without the benefit of visual aids. I’m not optimistic.

I’ll post my notes from the event here later on.

Actually, it’s the High Tech Communicators’ Exchange. (However, their other materials are rife with errors, so I can’t blame you for erroneously reporting this one!)

Indeed, but my issue with the apostrophe remains.

Why? If the exchange belongs to the communicators in question, then it makes sense. They’re not exchanging communicators. Or do you have another issue with the phrase? (I’m sleepy, so maybe I’m missing something here.)

Nah, I just think it’s extraneous. Technically, it would be correct to have an apostrophe, but the ‘s’ possessive looks pretty awkward.
