Blog for Small Businesses
I recently helped the folks at e-BC set up a weblog to communicate informally with small businesses on technology issues:
We all know the advantages that large organizations can gain from implementing technology solutions at the enterprise level. But, those same solutions can work for small businesses as well. They simply need to be modified to fit a small business budget. We are firm believers that Internet technology can improve business processes for small and micro enterprises. Therefore, we’ve created this blog to help small business owners and operators learn more about the Internet and low-cost technology solutions suited to small business — solutions that are fast and easy to implement.
Looks promising so far–it should be of interest to any Canadian small business owner. In particular, it’s a good resource for those who aren’t so tech-savvy. Incidentally, I’m going to be speaking at an e-BC lunchtime seminar on Wednesday, November 10. The subject of the talk is “Building 21st Century Websites with Weblogs and RSS”. Pre-registration is CAN $15 and apparently “includes refreshments”. Sweet.
One lazy Web request: Are you running Internet Explorer 5.5? If so, shame on you. Just kidding. Have a look at their site and see if it renders correctly–there’s a bug in the MT template that I’m trying to sort out.
