Great Small Hotels

A while back I was bemoaning the effort involved in searching for hotels on the Web. I was also saying that I prefer small, independent hotels to the average Holiday Inn. Via Metafilter, we find a charming hotels guide. It’s pretty incomplete–there are only a few hotels listed in Canada–and inexplicably divides Canada into three large chunks, but it’s a decent place to start if you’re looking for something that isn’t a Merriot.

Finding hotels on the web is easy Darren. I’m surprised you find it difficult.

Dude, did you read my other post? Here’s an example of my frurstration: Let’s do a search for a small inn in Victoria–the Edwardian Inn. Which link in the results should I follow? Which vendor should I trust? Where is the Inn’s actual Web page?
