No Sweat Apparel and a Little Video Blogging Experiment
As I mentioned, we videotaped my lunch seminar today. As the video camera was kicking around, I figured I’d try a little experiment in video blogging. After all, audio blogging (aka podcasting) is all the rage, so video blogging is bound to follow suit. In this Quicktime movie, I discuss a shirt that I recently ordered from No Sweat Apparel:
Don’t worry, I don’t plan to do this often (besides, I don’t actually own a video camera). Clearly, the video blogging encourages the verbal diarrhea.

slightly off topic, but did you get involved in any “save the bog” movements?
The Burns Bog recently came up in a presentation at school; I had no idea of its importance.
If you’re feeling the need to connect with a bog there are local options!

Heh, I love the look on your face on the last couple of seconds of the video!
I went to the Bog people exhibit at the Glenbow in Calgary last May — and I have to admit, it was a little creepy (and morbid) looking at these people who were so carefully preserved in the bogs of Ireland. I didn’t mind having Seamus Heaney stuck in my head, though.

Haha, nice one Darren. BTW, for any of you who are interested, the bog saving people in Ireland have an online presence at http://www.ipcc.ie The front page shows another large mammal (not a deer), and insects and humans and stuff. I’m from Portlaw, Co. Waterford (http://www.tompgalvin.com/places/ie/portlaw.htm) but we do share a border with Wexford so you were pretty close.

Hey Darren, that was pretty amusing. You kind of go off on a tangent and it seems like you forgot why you were really doing the “video blogging”. I like it non the less. It’s funny what happens when your neck is really out there and it’s not just text. I go all random in front of cameras too.

Spokesmammals?
Excellent video blog. I was way more interested in the bogs and the spokesinsects than the political stuff.
