The American Media is On Eggshells

I just channel-surfed around the election coverage, and every station is being extremely careful about reporting results. I’ve observed, after visiting a bunch of news sites, that each site has a slightly different term for the unresolved states. These include:

Too close to call
Anybody’s guess
Up for grabs
Tossup (the Vancouver Sun’s charming term)
TBD
Undetermined

Wolf Blitzer looks very edgy. That is all.

Darren - love it. Mind if I use it on air in my next segment?

Sure, go ahead. I saw one of your segments on the CBC tonight–strong work.

In unrelated news, I’m eternally amused by the Google AdWords that sometimes show up.

Cool thanks. I don’t know when the next hit will be here… probably within 15 min.

I’m blogging the behind-the-scenes of our end at http://radio.blogware.com/blog/_archives/2004/11/2/173676.html in case you wanna have a read.

And I’ve clicked on some of the ads for ya. ;-)

Chances of me staying in Canada another four years — 80% and it’s increasing as the night continues.

You just got CBCd!

Hah, you got flashed on CBC!

Nice one…I’ll have to look for a tape of that. I was too busy watching the Canucks beat Calgary in game 7, 1994 (no offense Tod, but it’s been a month without hockey).

;-) No problem. Truth be told, I’d rather be in bed.

Thanks again for the permission to put you on TV. Looking forward to your RSS presentation in a couple of weeks.
