Video from Business Blogging Seminar

Last week I spoke at eBusiness Connection about blogging for small businesses. We videotaped the seminar, to create a little content for our weblog and newsletter, and to mock me after the fact. In fact, for about ten minutes of the presentation, my tie got hung up on one of my jacket’s suit buttons. Here’s a captured still so that you can laugh along at home. The tie just kind of hangs askew. I generally eschew tie pins, but maybe it’s time to procure one.

I know, I talk too fast. I’m working on it. Roland and I are doing a talk tomorrow night, so together we’ll only be comprehensible by certain kinds of field mice.

the kryptonite thing made me very sad. People are bitching about their $500 mountain bikes not being locked up well? Screw that, I use a kryptonite disc lock on my motorcycle. Damnit. (They have (had?) top of the line motorcycle locks as well.)
You’re right — their damage control is STUPIDLY slow. They’re accepting requests for replacements, but of course they can’t manufacture them fast enough. Rumor has it, they’ve started shipping new locks. I’m still waiting. I’m not expecting it to show up anytime soon. :/
I find it very amusing that the local bike shops on Denman were all advertising “square locks” and “can’t be picked with a bic” *long* before Kryptonite said anything about it. Sheesh.
My poor barely-locked bike. :(

I think I’m somewhat surprised that they had you presenting in a room with a huge heating duct right behind your head.
