Fun Firefox Extensions

You hardcore Firefox users will probably be familiar with the more popular Firefox extensions. However, with 8 million downloaders since November 9, there’s probably a few people unfamiliar with the ways in which you can improve your Firefox experience. Via del.icio.us, here’s a round-up of the best ones.

I just installed UndoCloseTab, which may prove a lifesaver. I’m regularly an idiot and accidentally close tabs. I know that the browser history remembers them, but it doesn’t always remember all the content in them. I also added an extension that swaps the download window for a little status bar, and one that displays page previews in your Google results.

While testing the latter extension, I discovered that May 7th is No Pants Day.

The one I find the most vital extension is the one by the name of Session Saver. It restores all the tabs and windows I had open should the application crash. It doesn’t happen often, but the couple times it has, it’s been at the worst possible time. Typically flash or java related it would seem, but regardless, it’s a life saver.

Add in miniT which allows you to drag and drop tabs to reorganise them, and you’re set.
