I Fell in Love with the Lacivious Biddies

Via Coverville, I discovered the Lacivious Biddies. They’re four cute, slightly-nerdy women from New York who have a (in their own words) ‘weird-lounge-jazz-pop-cabaret’ act. They’re kind of a jazzier, smarter, female Barenaked Ladies, but in a good way. They also remind me of Nellie McKay (or maybe she should remind me of them). Anyway, I heard them and was immediately smitten.

They’re clever girls, because they’ve not only got all of their songs available in MP3 format, but they’ve recently started a weblog. They’ve also got a fun documentary (MOV) about the recording of their latest album. I see that podcaster extraordinaire Adam Curry recently mentioned them. Are they going to achieve international fame through the blogosphere?
