Every “Top Ten Albums of 2004″ List on the Planet
Amy, of Amy’s Robot fame, has compiled a list of lists of the best albums of 2004. More importantly, she’s aggregated the lists into one meta-list, which identifies Franz Ferdinand’s self-titled CD as the overall favourite. I hereby commit to listening to at least three songs by every artist in the top ten. Except for Morrissey. I don’t listen to Morrissey for nobody or nothing.
I’ll forgive Amy for choosing his You Are the Quarry in her personal top-five. How did that guy become famous again?

by being a lyrical genius. And writing songs/performing with the guitar genius of Johnny Marr.

Hey, take it easy on the Mozzer. He’s the anti-popstar after all.
He really needs to hook back up with Marr though, his current music partners are a little hit and miss in my opinion.

Actually, I think it’s because every teenager is depressed and misunderstood, and everyone who was a teenager remembers being depressed and misunderstood. Morrissey just never really grew up. In that, he’s simply a mopier version of, say, Tommy Lee from Motley Crue.

I agree with the one who said that the Franz’s album is overrated: enough already!
But Loretta Lynn’s ‘Van Lear Rose’ is awesome!
‘No I didn’t come to fight
If he were a better man I might
And I wouldn’t dirty my hands on trash like you’
Perfect!
