30-Hour Famine Wrap-Up

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we came within a hair’s breadth of the $1000 target–we raised $996.50! That, more or less, feeds three children in a developing country for a year. Thanks again to everybody who participated, and in particular to my brother, who fasted with me in solidarity.

On the fasting, it was less difficult than I thought. I consumed a ridiculous amount of water and fruit juice, but wasn’t desperate for food. I was head-achey and woozy by this morning, but otherwise that part of the gambit was unremarkable.

UPDATE: Happily, a late donation put us over the top, to $1006.50! Nice one.
