Quick Question on Spanish Banks

It looks like the Big Blogger Picnic location of choice is going to be Spanish Banks. I’ve got one question before I make it official: does anybody know of any specific landmark I can reference out there? I’d like to define somewhere specific as a meeting place. Or at least somewhere where I can post a sign saying where in the park that we’re actually at. Any suggestions? Bonus points if you’ve got a photo.

UPDATE: As it turns out, the survey ended with a tie between Jericho and Spanish Banks. I’m going with Jericho, because it’s closer for the vehicularly-challenged.

Hey Darren,

There is a spot at the end of Spanish Banks (last parking lot) with a great landmark. Also many picnic tables. Here is a
PHOTO I took.

Note that this is an off-leash dog park
(hence the giant dog sculpture), but if you dont mind dogs then all is well. Its a very big area so the dogs are usually no bother.

Is this a dog sculpture?!? I remember it as being an anchor, but it’s been a little while since I was out there, I could be wrong…

hey Jo you’re probably correct. I just imagined it as a dog sculpture, since I take my dog there all the time. Kind of looks like a dog though doesnt it.
An absract dog is cooler than an anchor so I’ll stick with the dog.
