Star Wars Convention Photos

Jerry just sent me this amusing Flickr photo set. It’s from “the third official Star Wars convention” in 2005. These are some serious costumes. Check out all the stormtroopers, six Darth Vaders, a pudgy random extra and a foxy Princess Leia. Finally, don’t miss Jar Jar in carbonite.

oddest “Stars Wars” thing that I’ve ever seen: the twenty-something mullet-wearing dude outside of the Vancouver Aquarium a couple of summers ago who had a tattoo of Boba Fett. That covered 3/4 of his chest!

I think he should have gone with an Ewok…

There’s only been three official Star Wars conventions? You’d think there would have been more than that.

I think this one’s my favourite, if just for the comment.

  3. Chris Lee Says:

There has been a “Star Wars Celebration” convention for each of the prequel films. These are the only Lucasfilm-endorsed events that have taken place. There have been plenty of other sci-fi conventions, but none have been “official”.

  4. Chris Lee Says:

I should have said “Star Wars-related sci-fi conventions”.
