A Couple of New Google Maps Hacks

Via eHub, I came across a couple of nifty Google Maps mashups:

Both of these sites remind me of a common complaint I have about Google Maps hacks. They tend not to implement the “Link to this page” feature, which enables you to grab a hyperlink for an exact map view, including zoom level, map style, and so on.

“[x] integrated with Google Maps” is the new “Flickr of [x]”.

Just checked the Pan Pacific weblink and two glaring problems struck me:

    1) The Pan Pac Vancouver has been relocated from the beautiful sightlines of Canada Place to Shaunessey. Hmm.

    2) As one zooms in to PPV, why is Surrey so predominantly labelled over Vancouver.

Dear God, the day of reconing has arrived.

    (Excuse the speelling…)

Hey Darren, I’ve been reading your blog pretty religiously since I found the syndication on Livejournal. I’ve recently been doing some thinking about this topic (http://www.livejournal.com/users/psx00/143066.html) and was wondering if you could offer any feedback or possibly touch on it yourself sometime (or, if you have previously, point me to it). Thanks.
