TailRank spiders thousands of weblogs trying to find highly linked and discussed links and citations. We then store these in our index. Once TailRank discovers something important it promotes it to the main website.
They’re apparently only monitoring 50,000 sites at the moment, which seems like a drop in the barrel. Still, they’re displaying all the hot stories bouncing around the blogosphere, so maybe that’s enough. I can’t necessarily recommend TailRank, as they don’t appear to be doing anything that other sites aren’t. Still, they’re another spot to lick your finger and test the meme wind.
