Help ‘Made to Break’ Break Out
Monique already took the good title–’Made to Break Needs a Break’. This is the second time she’s written with passion about this book (here’s the first):
It’s fascinating to think about the origins of branding and packaging, how clever we were at creating repetitive demand, how we sat around dreaming up ways to encourage disposability of things–some of which I greatly appreciate like sanitary pads and tampons, bathroom tissue and bandaids but also of consumer electronics, automobiles and clothes.
I haven’t read it, but it sounds just like the sort of non-fiction book I’d like to read. Monique thinks it deserves a larger readership. I’ll buy a copy. That’s, uh, one more.
