Notes from Gnomedex: Steve Rubel

Notes from the conversation led by Steve Rubel:
* How marketers can become much more collaborative
* Only a handful of people want to read corporate blogs outside of their industry
* People have built-in bullshit detectors. Get in tune with your own BS detector so that you can create compelling material that doesn’t set them off.
* Tara Hunt: Marketers need to be part of the community they’re serving
* People are passionate about everything–look at Amazon’s grocery store
* Amazon stopped making TV ads and instead used the money to reduce price of their products–it’s a better return.
* Think about hacking marketing and apply creativity to making marketing interesting.
