Now That’s a Dedicated Fan…

Slightly raunchy, but it made me laugh out loud today. It doesn’t look photoshopped to me, but I’m no expert. Courtesy of James Mirtle.

Five hole? Whazzat?

The five hole is a slang term for the area between a goalie’s legs. It’s often a target for shooters when the goalie is ‘going down’, moving from a standing to a kneeling or ‘butterfly’ position.

Ah, thanks. I’m vague on the rules.

I watched my first hockey game ever (I’m 49 y.o.) last year (Vancouver Giants, free tickets from the kid’s school), and after the second period ended tapped the seven-year old in front of me and asked how many periods were in the game. Look of mixed horror, astonishment, and pity.
