GeekyTraveller.com is Officially For Sale

Last week I mused about selling GeekyTraveller.com, and received several informal enquiries. Quite reasonably, all of the prospective buyers expected me to name a price.

I have no idea how to sell a website, and it’s not something I plan to do on a regular basis. I have no idea what fair value is for GT, nor do I really want to bother learning about it.

Here’s my dumb solution: put it on eBay and let the market decide. How will it do? I’ll know in 10 days.

If you’re interested, please go ahead and place a bid. If you know somebody in the travel industry, please pass this along. As I say in the listing:

It’s a relatively low traffic site with great online reach and excellent earning potential. It’s an ideal addition to a blog network, for a travel writer or as a new point of online presence for a company in the travel industry.

If I had a client in the travel sector who wanted some instant online presence, buying GT would be an effective way to do it.
