I assume they don’t get suspended over populated areas. I mean, I’m kind of clumsy. I’d probably kill somebody with a dropped salt shaker.

I can’t think of any way that I would rather *not* eat. I’d be far too busy imagining the 302 ways that I could fall and die to consume anything, except possibly alcohol, to try and numb my brain so I didn’t go into a catatonic state. Which would likely be an even worse combination, because then I’d be throwing forks at passers-by, and trying to catch that napkin I dropped.
It’s so beyond gimmick, it’s a design thing. Two major impracticalities: 1) I’m sure patrons are “briefed” and the meals are short, but what about restrooms? 2) Ever have wind at your picnic? It doesn’t take much to be annoying, and wind is stronger at altitude, so I bet the number of days of actual use are very few.
Proof that it’s only a concept: they’re not trying to make it work, they’re only trying to sell the idea and the equipment.
I was thinking the same thing, Andy. What would they do if one of them had to, ahem, powder their nose. The whole thing would have to be lowered…. I don’t even want to think about the alternative.

Certainly would raise the bar for how bad the food’d have to be before I walked out …
