We Won a Contest With an Embarrassingly Silly Video

My friend Monique used to work at Raincoast Books, and she tipped me off to this contest they recently ran.

Entrants created a cellphone video survival tip based on the bestselling Worst-Case Scenario Handbook series for a chance to win a $500 shopping spree in a participating store.

We fired up Julie’s lousy cell phone video camera, and created the quite stupid and profoundly amateur video How to Escape from a Bear:

Gay foot fetishists will enjoy the money shot of my ugly, hairy feet. Through some peculiar fluke, we won. Hello, $500 Amazon gift certificate. Kerching.

I was kind of shocked as to why this awesome animated one didn’t win, but I gather it was a video created to promote the contest.

Wow. Great little video too!

Congrats and happy spending!

The “Bear” sounds strangely similar to Chewbacca; which I suppose if you crossed a bear with a human is what you’d get.

Nice work kids ;)
