A Terrific Visualization
I just saw this on JP’s blog and had to pass it on. I didn’t create it, and nor did he. If the creator is out there, come forth in a Chevy convertible and announce yourself. By the dashboard lights:
UPDATE: In the comments, Jason points to a whole image set of these on Flickr. I quite enjoyed this one:

I stumbled across a whole set of these a few weeks ago– not sure who the author is though, but here’s more: http://flickr.com/photos/boyshapedbox/sets/72157603957925616/

Man, I so used to LOVE that Meat Loaf song. I still have the CD kicking around somewhere…I’ll have to take a closer look at those charts, but from what I’ve seen so far, they’re great!

Surely you’d already seen the Flickr song chart group? http://www.flickr.com/groups/songchart/pool/
I find it cute, though it seems most people haven’t been trained in proper mathematical/logical diagramming and they’re doin’ it wrong. Including the first image you’ve included here.

Seems to have come from http://graphjam.com/ (”brought to you by the bringers of http://icanhascheezburger.com/“). It’s probably not a coincidence that I just found it last night (but the tendency of the net to converge, especially around good things, is still uncanny). Actually the same gimmick is repeated a bit too often, but still funny the first few times–especially the Meatloaf one.

For completeness, that URL also says “inspired by http://jamphat.com/rap/” (but that one’s less funny because I don’t know as many of the rap songs).
