It’s never fun when somebody loses their pet, but I was struck by the careful wording on this sign that I spotted in Victoria. He’s not big or fat, he’s heavier set:

People are sensitive about weight issues, even for pets, I guess! Gotta say though, asking for help via e-mail is trouble. People are jerks - they’ll probably receive all sorts of “tips” that aren’t true, or worse yet an e-mail about “sorry, I ran over Mr Softie…”

You know, he could be heavier set as in stocky and not fat. Some cats are built like a brick shithouse. But of course that’s not as funny.
