El Cat Fight?

It’s not often I feature cat fights from Spanish (or maybe Latin American?) soap operas on this site, but Richard sent this along and I couldn’t resist. You have to watch until about the 1:10 mark, when there’s a rather unexpected turn of events.

I think all that hair helps to cover up the lousy fight choreography. Hey, Spanish speakers, what are they fighting about? A man, no doubt.

Blonde: “What are you doing here? How dare you come here!”

Brunette: “Well since I know where you live I thought I’d come by to make a courtesy call.”

Blonde: “If you don’t leave I’ill call the police!”

Brunette:” Relax.. I only came here to give you something that I have owed you for some time.”

Blonde: “Oh yes, What?”

Brunette: “This! “(whack)

Blonde: “How dare you!!”

Brunette: “How dare you steal my daughter”

Blonde: “She was misborn”

hmm, this where my ear fails me. I am pretty sure I heard “mal nacida”, but don’t know the term myself. An online translator says it means wicked, so it might make for sense for the blonde to be saying” you are mal-nacida”.

Blonde (continuing): ” You should have rotten in jail, you damned hairstylist”

The word is peluquera - which means hairstylist.. but perhaps it has another meaning?

Thats up to about 0:44..

Then an exchange of:

“I hate you!”

“Not any more than I hate you, you dammed hairstylist”

(fighting)

And that’s enough Spanish soap for at least another decade.

Awesome, thanks for the explanation. They do have remarkable hair.

How do you say “Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling” in Spanish? Big style points for that handstand move, although it seems rather fancy for a cat fight.

(Google tells me “Hermosa damas de la lucha libre”)

I kept having the “Kirk Fights Spock” music from “Amok Time” running through my head.

They’re fighting because one (the blonde) stole the daughter from the other (the brunette) and the latter went to prison and is now unable to see her daughter. I loved the move with the legs, I might add.

Wasn’t that D. Hannah’s move from Bladerunner?
