Men Kissing The Halifax Chronicle-Herald is all pleased with themselves over publishing a photo of two men kissing on their front page. So pleased, in fact, that they published a letter from the editor justifying their decision. I wrote them this missive in reply: I applaud your decision to published a photo of two men kissing. It saddens me, though, that you felt you had to write a letter explaining why you did so. Frankly, if you'd really stood solely for 'the freedom to express and exchange ideas', you wouldn't have published a letter at all. Moose Tickler Alert My friend Tom coined a new term for Canadians: 'moose tickler'. I like it, so I'm trying to introduce it into popular Canadian culture. So, I laughed extra hard the other day when I saw a trailer for Disney's forthcoming Brother Bear. It must be seen to be believed, but amongst the supporting cast are two moose (named Tuke and Rutt) who are, for all intents and purposes, Bob and Doug Mckenzie with antlers. After a bit of investigation, it turns out that the moose are actually played by Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas, the actors who played Bob and Doug. What a couple of hosers, eh? In truth, compared to Finding Nemo, the film looks craptastic. But I may go just to hear the moose(s). 10:14:28 AM        Canada Movies
