Internet

Online stuff, mostly memes or other Internet things that don't fit another category.

My friend John pointed me to this wicked resource of naugty paperback covers (pretty safe for work) from the sixties. These are a couple of my favourites:

The first one is written by Don King...I didn't know he worked outside of boxing promotion. And the tag line on the second one is fantastic: 'He looked for courage in the arena of sin.'

The page also pointed me to Retrocrush's Worst Superhero Costumes of All Time. I quote from a passage about Cyborg's costume:

If I die and you have to enhance my corpse with cybernetics to bring me back to life, could you at least make me robot pants that will keep my balls from falling out?

Is that really too much to ask? There's also a reminder that certain superheros weren't always decked out in black, bulbous rubber.

Play a game of twenty questions against a computer. What freaked me out was that it correctly guessed what I was thinking for both 'cup of tea' and 'panda bear'. Then I went with something tricky--curlew--and it got pretty close, guessing both 'grouse' and 'ptarmigan'. I know this is just a straight forward program, but it's eerily perceptive.
